Re: The President’s Section 421 decision regarding Chinese tire imports
We are disappointed by President Obama’s decision to side with narrow protectionist interests by imposing a 35% tariff on Chinese tire imports. But we are gratified by the many members of congress, trade associations, opinion leaders and by the thousands of regular Americans who urged the President to choose cooperation over confrontation on this issue. We are watching developments closely and will have more to say shortly about our plans to continue the fight for American jobs and trade reform.
