Jobs and Prosperity Through Free Trade
The Trade Alliance to Promote Prosperity is an open forum of American companies, workers, farm and working families, trade associations, current and former lawmakers and policy makers — all committed to building job-generating global free trade partnerships.
Unless President Obama rejects them, tariff and protectionist efforts such as Section 421 petitions filed under the U.S. Trade Act of 1974 are likely to irreparably damage valuable trade and bilateral partnerships with nations such as China.
Through advocacy, education and outreach, we promote economic partnerships and cooperation. We oppose any diplomatic, lawmaking or policymaking effort that could lead to destructive trade wars, cost jobs and derail cooperation among nations on vital issues such as global warming, energy conservation, environmental protection and nuclear proliferation.
